As Cambodia Angkor Air prepares to launch its maiden India operations, the airline has appointed a General Sales Agent in India to promote its cargo operations. The airline has appointed Aeroprime Group as its Cargo General Sales Agent for the Indian market.
Aeroprime Group has a significant presence in the Indian market. Another Asian carrier, Vietnam Airlines has selected Aeroprime as its Indian GSA.
Cambodia Angkor Air Selects Cargo GSA for India
Releasing a press statement, the Cambodian flag carrier has announced the appointment of its cargo GSA in India. From now on, Aeroprime Group will promote and sell the cargo services of the airline in the Indian market.
The group added that this appointment is a huge milestone, which bolsters its position as the leading cargo GSA in the Indian market. This move shows its commitment to deliver high-quality services to its clients, resulting in a boost in portfolio and reputation.
Abhishek Goyal is the Executive Director of Aeroprime Group. He said that this partnership with Cambodia Angkor Air aligns with the GSA’s plan to offer a wide range of services to its clients. He added that they will be dedicated to helping the airline grow by supporting its expansion and increasing its sales in the Indian market.
Cambodia Angkor Air Expanding Into India Market
From June 16, Cambodia Angkor Air will be launching non-stop flights connecting Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH) and Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). The airline will operate four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays with the Airbus A320 fleet. Here is a look at the flight timings:

This will be the first time that any airline will connect Cambodia and India with a non-stop flight. In addition to the entry, the airline has significant expansion plans for the Indian market.
It is aiming to increase the frequency of Delhi flights from four weekly to daily within six months of operational start. Furthermore, it is looking to connect Phnom Penh to Mumbai. Initially, the focus will remain on leisure passengers from India. During the initial phase, it will operate independently but later on, it will try to penetrate deeper into the market by signing a codeshare agreement with an Indian airline. It is already in discussions with one such airline.
Cambodia is looking to double the number of Indian tourists. According to the Ambassador of Cambodia to India, Koy Koung, these flights will help the country to achieve the anticipated tourism numbers. Indian tourism to Cambodia is yet to touch the pre-pandemic numbers. Medical tourism is another area, where the airline is looking at.
