Etihad Airways, the Abu Dhabi-based airline has marked its comeback at Jaipur International Airport. With this resumption, the airline is now operating to 11 destinations in India. Alongside Jaipur, the airline has also launched flights to its second Turkish destination: Antalya.
Etihad: Comeback at Jaipur
After a wait of six years, Etihad Airways has made its comeback at Jaipur International Airport (JAI). The airline has launched four times-a-week flights connecting Abu Dhabi to Jaipur. Flights will be operational on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Etihad is deploying its Airbus A320 fleet on this route.

Etihad Airways has a fleet of 14 Airbus A320, out of which 11 are configured with 8 Business and 150 Economy Class seats. The airline is using these aircraft for Jaipur operations. This flight is being operated from Terminal 1 of Zayed International Airport.
As per the airline statement, these connections are aimed to enhance travel options for travelers during this summer. Arik De, the Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer for Etihad said that these route additions mark an important step in the airline’s growth strategy, providing passengers with more options and flexible choices.
Etihad started flights between Abu Dhabi and Jaipur in 2015. After three years of service, it decided to suspend the route in 2018. Now, it is returning back on this route after a period of six years. In addition to resuming flights to Jaipur, the airline has increased frequencies on many Indian routes.
Etihad Makes Frequency Changes
With effect from 15 June, Etihad has increased its number of offerings at various Indian routes. The airline has increased the frequency between Abu Dhabi and Bengaluru to 17X weekly. In the coming time, it will be further increased to 18X weekly.
It has enhanced the frequency on the Trivandrum route from 7X weekly to 10X weekly. This route was launched on January 1, 2024. Furthermore, the Kolkata service has been enhanced to 8 times a week.
Not just India, Etihad has added flights to many global destinations. From 15 June, it has established a new thrice-weekly connection between Abu Dhabi and Antalya. In addition, it has increased frequency on various Asian and African routes.
Amman, Cairo, Karachi, and Colombo routes will now be operated with a weekly frequency of 14X, 24X, 17X, and 20X respectively. The airline has added three weekly flights on all these routes.
