IndiGo, India’s largest carrier in terms of fleet and market share is all set to expand its connectivity from Bengaluru Airport. The airline has announced the launch of two routes connecting Bengaluru to Nashik and Jabalpur. In the previous article, Times of Aviation has already reported about the latter route.
In this article, we will take a look at both the connections and more details about them.
IndiGo: Bengaluru to Nashik
From September 10, IndiGo will launch non-stop flights between Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and Nashik Ozar Airport (ISK). Flights will be operated daily with the Airbus A320neo fleet. Here is a quick look at the flight timings.

6E 6548 | Nashik | 16:50 | 18:35 | Bengaluru |
IndiGo Head of Global Sales, Mr Vinay Malhotra said that this connection will reduce the travel time between both cities by almost 90%. The airline is aiming to attract both leisure and business travelers. This route will enhance regional connectivity, and foster trade and tourism between Karnataka and Maharashtra.
This route was expected to start in October 2023, but the airline decided to postpone it. Finally, it has opened the reservations.
On 15 March 2023, IndiGo launched its maiden service to Nashik. The airline initially connected the Wine Capital of India to Ahmedabad, North Goa, and Nagpur. Later, in June 2023, the airline expanded Nashik connectivity by including Indore and Hyderabad on the route map. On 1 May 2024, it launched the much-awaited Nashik-Delhi connection.
IndiGo is the exclusive airline operating scheduled commercial flights from Nashik Airport. With the new addition, it will be connecting Nashik to seven Indian cities.
IndiGo: Connecting Bengaluru to Jabalpur
While we have already talked about this route in a previous article, there is nothing wrong with revising it.
From 1 September, IndiGo will launch another connection from Bengaluru, connecting the airport to Jabalpur. The airline will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays with the Airbus A320neo fleet. Here is a quick look at flight timings:
Flight Number | Origin | Departure Time | Arrival Time | Destination |
6E 6586 | Bengaluru | 12:30 | 14:35 | Jabalpur |
6E 6588 | Jabalpur | 15:10 | 17:20 | Bengaluru |
IndiGo will be the exclusive operator on this route. This will be the airline’s fifth connection from Jabalpur Airport. From 1 July, the airline will be connecting Jabalpur to Mumbai, alongside the current connections to Hyderabad, Indore, and Delhi.
Conclusion
IndiGo is all set to expand its domestic connectivity from Bengaluru Airport. The airline will operate non-stop flights connecting Bengaluru to Nashik and Jabalpur. Both services will start in September 2024. IndiGo is the only airline operating scheduled flights from Nashik Airport.
